Brake Squealing Adjustment Guide

Brake squealing is a common issue with bicycles, and several typical causes can lead to this problem:

  1. Foreign objects on the brake pads or disc rotor surfaces: The brake pads or brake system may have become dirty. The recommended solution is to remove the disc rotor and clean it with alcohol. If the brake pads are contaminated with oil, they should be promptly replaced.

Tools Required:

  • Allen wrench or HITWAY 16-in-1 tool

Steps:

  1. Using an Allen wrench, slightly adjust the round piece on the back of the brake counterclockwise.

  2. Using an Allen wrench, turn the bolt holding the brake line clockwise.

  3. Turn the wheel and check the relative position of the brake and disc brake rotor.
